Serie A Matchday 2 - Review!

Image
Torino VS Atalanta Sid: Atalanta were expected to win today and they did. Belotti got on the score sheet twice which is not a surprise either given the fact he is their best player by a mile. You can expect goals from Atalanta throughout the season and probably a handful from Belotti as well and if Atalanta do what they have done last year, they can have another great season and probably a shot at a trophy as well. Videep:  Not a very surprising result considering the Atalanta we saw that reached the Quarter Finals of the Champions League. 4 goals scored, 4 different scorers. Exactly the type of dominance I expect them to continue throughout the season. Sampdoria VS Benevento Sid: Sampdoria hit quickly in the game but clearly could not maintain the level of play through out the game or even the first half for that matter and as the game progresses, Benevento upped their tempo to get a goal and the a late winner. Videep:  Yes, Sampdoria was on a two-goal lead, but unfortunately...

Premier League Matchday 3 - Review!

Brighton VS Manchester United Sid:  I knew the game would be close and I also knew that United would win with Bruno Fernandes scoring the winning goal from the spot but what I did not see coming was that the penalty came after the match ended. Yes, the match ended but was restarted so that United could score a penalty. If VAR has to help United, try making it a little less evident. Nevertheless, Neal Maupay had scored a cheeky panenka penalty and celebrated with crying celebration. Lucky for him that he is a good player to complement the absolute shithousery that he has brought into the league.  Videep: Brighton has been quite good lately their, while Manchester United hasn't. Neal Maupay might've thought that his 95th-minute equaliser would get them a point, but of course Manchester United would take the lead through a100th minute penalty. Even though I predicted a United win pre-game, I'm as confused as you are. Crystal Palace VS Everton Sid: Everton edged past through an...

Bundesliga Matchday 2 - Review!

Hertha Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt Sid:  Frankfurt may have won but Hinteregger had a day to forgot as he scored his 6th own goal in the Bundesliga, the joint highest in the history of the league. It was a much closer game on paper and on the pitch as well as Frankfurt scored 3 goals from just 3 shots on target and Berlin produced none from 6 as Frankfurt managed on the top of the table even it meant for a couple of hours.  Videep:  Frankfurt seemed to be back to their dominant self after a forgettable last season as they beat Hertha Berlin 3-1, giving the hosts almost nothing during the game. It would be interesting to see Frankfurt challenging for Europe again. I expected a somewhat closer game between the two sides, but a dominant win was on the cards, instead. FSV Mainz vs Vfb Stuttgart Sid: Newly promoted Stuttgart would want to stay in the league and they had their chances against Mainz, and they did not disappoint as they slotted 4 goals and in a way announced th...

LaLiga Matchday 3 - Review!

Alaves vs Getafe Sid: There were no expectations from either side and that is what happened. I had expected a draw but not a goalless one. Both teams might be disappointed for dropping points but on the other hand, even a single point can decide whether you get relegated or not, especially for teams like Alaves and Getafe. Videep:  A dull La Liga game, where there wasn't a lot to report, Deportivo Alaves were held to a 0-0 draw against Getafe. I would have expected Getafe to continue on after their 3 points in the opening matchday. Valencia vs Huesca Sid:  There is not much left in Valencia at this point. There are players like Wass and Jose Gaya but they won't be enough for Valencia who aim for European qualification every year. The best Valencia can do now is to manage a top ten finish and focus on their finances. Videep:  A game I really feel Valencia should have won. They have always been one of the frontrunners to qualify for at least one of the two European c...

FIFA 21 Ratings Revealed!

Image
EA Sports has dropped the ratings for the Top 100 players in FIFA 21 and it would be wrong not to mention that the majority of people simply do not agree with what EA has decided to go with for their player ratings                                                                               At the top of the tree sits Lionel Messi with a 93 as rival Cristiano Ronaldo finishes 2nd with a 92. Four Liverpool players get a rating of 90 and only one Manchester City player makes it to the top 10. Jan Oblak remains the best player standing between the posts and is the only goalkeeper in the top ten. Robert Lewandowski rightfully claims the 3rd spot with a 91 after a massive treble-winning season                            ...
