FIFA 21 Ratings Revealed!

EA Sports has dropped the ratings for the Top 100 players in FIFA 21 and it would be wrong not to mention that the majority of people simply do not agree with what EA has decided to go with for their player ratings

At the top of the tree sits Lionel Messi with a 93 as rival Cristiano Ronaldo finishes 2nd with a 92. Four Liverpool players get a rating of 90 and only one Manchester City player makes it to the top 10. Jan Oblak remains the best player standing between the posts and is the only goalkeeper in the top ten. Robert Lewandowski rightfully claims the 3rd spot with a 91 after a massive treble-winning season

ALL THE PLAYER RATINGS THAT FIFA GOT WRONG

Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) - 92

If anything, Cristiano Ronaldo deserved an upgrade for his performance this season. Ronaldo won 18 points for his team singlehandedly and racked up 44 goal involvements in 46 games. You could somehow justify not giving him an upgrade but there is absolutely no sense in the fact that he gets a downgrade after this season. EA just decided it was time because he's old now but no one decides when Ronaldo is done except Ronaldo. By the way have a look at the stats. 77 Physical. That's what Sergio Busquets got as well.

Our Rating - 93

Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) - 91

Lewandowski was the top scorer in Bundesliga, Champions League, and DFB-Pokal as his team won Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB-Pokal this year to complete the treble. With 55 goals and 10 assists in just 47 games, Robert Lewandowski has been an absolute beast this season. Yet Lewandowski still ended up being unlucky as he was the front runner for the Ballon d'Or which ended up being cancelled and also lost the European Golden Boot due to lesser games.

Our Rating - 92

       Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) -89

11 Goals in La Liga as a defender this season resulted in Ramos overtaking Ronald Koeman as the defender with most goals in La Liga history as Madrid won their 34th La Liga title captained by Sergio Ramos. It was as if there had never been the time when both Zidane and Ronaldo had left. Not all players rose to the occasion for Madrid this season making Sergio Ramos all the more important in their title win. Also, Ramos managed to go the whole season without a red card in La Liga.

Our Rating - 90

         Casemiro (Real Madrid) - 89

Casemiro is one of many defensive midfielders who are underrated but giving him a rating of 89 makes him just the second-highest rated midfielder in the whole game, just behind De Bruyne. What else is that he is now the highest-rated player from the Madrid midfield consisting on Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro himself. Casemiro has had a pretty decent season but imagine having so many to midfielders in the game and yet Casemiro finishes second. Surely if anything like that had to happen Casemiro would catching everyone's eye almost every week.

Our Rating - 88

Luka Modric (Real Madrid) - 87

Luka Modric might have not had the same season he had when he captained Croatia to the World Cup finals but getting a minus 3 seems too harsh. It seems to be that Modric has fallen prey to EA's policy for older players. Surprisingly, he still possesses a pace of 73. Modric has lost 5 ratings in the last two seasons and it seems that EA will not stop until he produces some groundbreaking performances in the coming seasons but even still Modric's performances have been better than an 87

Our Rating - 88

         Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) - 87

Trent Alexander- Arnold has had a season as big as his name. Broke his own record of most assists by a defender and lifted the Premier League, Trent has a long way to go but after many years where the RB position remained the lowest-rated position in FIFA, EA has decided to finally up the level but it seems to have come at a wrong time. Trent is still a young player and even though he might be the best RB in the game right now, 87 is a little extra right now.

Our Rating - 86

        Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) - 87

Aubameyang more or less carried his team until Mikel Arteta arrived and managed to improve the squad in the small space of time he has been at the club so far. Aubameyang scored 22 goals to finish second in the PL Golden Boot race and has 32 goal involvements in all competitions. Easily Arsenal's most prized possession, everyone expected him to have an upgrade and probably become the best striker in the league but instead ended up with a downgrade. The rating was so bad that Aubameyang himself posted laughing emojis over his ratings on his Twitter account.

Our Rating - 89

        Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) - 87

Firmino scored just 2 goals at his home ground Anfield this season and if 2 goals at Anfield can get you an 87 then Marcos Llorente deserves justice. Firmino has had a comparatively poor season with 25 goal and assists in 52 games but since Liverpool won the league EA decided to just give everyone an upgrade. Firmino is an underrated player but the stats are very much against him this season. Yet EA gave Firmino the same rating as Aubameyang.  Simply no difference between a player who scored 22 times and a player who scored 9 times.

Our Rating - 85

     Ciro Immobile (Lazio) - 87

Ciro Immobile started the season with a rating of 86 on FIFA 20 and after one very long season with 36 goals and 8 assists in just 37 games in and a European Golden Boot along with being majorly responsible for his team qualifying for the Champions League, Immobile has had an upgrade of 1. Simply put, Immobile has been prey to the unfair EA rule wherein a player might be very good but will not get the deserved rating because he plays in a smaller team when compared to other big teams. Looks like he would have to sign for Barcelona for better ratings

Our Rating - 89

      Fabinho (Liverpool) - 87

Fabinho has been a key asset to Liverpool for the last two years and has been on a steady growth as well but a rating of 87 seems to be the result of the team success affecting the ratings of the player. Fabinho has the potential to go even higher than 87 and he has shown it on quite a few occasions such as goals against Manchester City and Crystal Palace but it looks like there has to be at least another year until he can reach that mark.

Our Rating - 86

David Silva (Manchester City) - 86

David Silva has said his final goodbyes to England and Manchester City after 10 years at the club. Moving to Real Sociedad, Silva is proof that EA gives fewer ratings to players than deserve better ratings only because of the fact that they play for a smaller team. Sure enough that neither David Silva nor Man City has had their best seasons but then again David Silva was never the type of player that could be judged based only on his stats. Probably staying would have given him a better rating.

Our Rating - 87

Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund) - 86

Mats Hummels statistically is the second-best defender this season but the fact that he does not play for Bayern Munich anymore has resulted in Hummels getting downgraded for the second season in a row. With 18 blocks along with a massive 124 aerial duels and 119 tackles, Mats Hummels is as strong as ever and at just 31 years old, still has more than a couple years left in his tank to be the main man in a Dortmund's defence. With Dortmund gearing up for a big year, Hummels has lots of responsibility on his shoulders and a positive season might have a positive impact on his ratings

Our Rating - 87

      Jordi Alba (Barcelona) - 86

For quite a few years, Jordi Alba went head to head with Marcelo for the best left-back in the game but in the past couple of years, Alba has started to slowly fade away. Along with his recent below the par, performances is the disastrous season that Barcelona has had Jordi Alba does not seem to be in the spotlight at all. With just 2 goals and 5 assists and an average defensive display, Alba's game on both sides of the pitch has not been great. However, Barcelona has brought in a new manager and only time can tell how it will affect Alba.

Our Rating - 84

     Jordan Henderson (Liverpool) - 86

Fans are very unhappy that Pogba and Henderson have the same ratings however for Pogba, the downgrade was evident. Pogba is definitely a better player than Henderson but league winners Liverpool's captain Henderson has 4 goals and 5 assists to his name and based on last season, is way ahead of Pogba. However, Pogba does beat Henderson on individual stats by 19 to 10 showing that he still is the better player. 86 for Henderson seems to be a bit much and can be blamed on the fact that his team won the league.

Our Rating - 85

Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich) - 86

One of the biggest injustice in FIFA 21. Muller probably had the best season of his career with 14 goals and 26 assists in 50 games. Ended up breaking the record for most assists in a single Bundesliga season. Won the treble with Bayern Munich and all that effort only for EA to not even try to give him an upgrade. One could blame it on the fact that Bayern Munich signed a deal with FIFA's rival PES resulting in FIFA losing the rights to the Allianz Arena, one of the best stadiums in the world and we wouldn't be surprised if Muller cracks tons of jokes over his rating anytime soon.

Our Rating - 89

Rapheal Varane (Real Madrid) - 86

It seems that with every passing year, Varane will be the only player that will be happy the day Sergio Ramos leaves Real Madrid. With consistent performances over the last few years, Varane is constantly under-appreciated due to the fact that he plays besides Sergio Ramos, who always is in the spotlight both on and off the pitch. Although his performance against Man City resulted in his team getting knocked out, Varane has still many other performances to look up to and will certainly improve as the over the next seasons.

Our Rating - 87

Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) - 85

Injuries have severely haunted Marco Reus and it haunted him again this season as the only player to stick by Dortmund after all these years spent half of the season out injured. Even still, Reus produced a great game every time he was on the pitch and with 12 goals and 7 assists in just 26 games this season, Reus showed what he is capable of. With the players Dortmund possesses, Reus can look forward to a great season if he can avoid the injuries. A downgrade of 3 is very harsh on the Dortmund captain and he has much to fight for next year.

Our Rating - 87

     Dries Mertens (Napoli) - 85

Napoli had a poor season and it clearly reflects in the ratings of their players. Mertens managed to rack up 16 goals and 11 assists for his team as he became the all-time top scorer in the history of Napoli. With 27 goal involvements in just around 2500 minutes, Mertens saved Napoli from going further down this season and although his team did not do as well as they expected to, Mertens continued to perform on the same level he has for many years and the downgrade is yet again harsh and undeserving.

Our Rating - 87

     Thiago (Bayern Munich) - 85

Coming to another player that EA decided to completely ignore is yet another treble-winning player and one of the most graceful players in the game, Thiago. The Spaniard has only 3 goals and 2 assists in 40 games in all competitions due to the fact that Hansi Flick decided to play him in a more defensive role this season but then again stats never tell you the whole story and Thiago turns out to be a player who cannot be judged only by his stats. His on-field performance is simply wonderful and a downgrade after winning a treble seems exactly what Muller will be basing his jokes on.

Our Rating - 88

      Alex Sandro (Juventus) - 85

Probably the only player from Juventus who did not get a downgrade this season due to reasons that Sandro himself might not know, many seemed to have forgotten about Alex Sandro as all eyes were on Ronaldo and a few on Dybala as they remained the only players left standing for Juventus. Alex Sandro has had a pretty fair season but the way his team has performed has to lead to questions on both the defence and the midfield. With the arrival of Pirlo as the new manager, it will be interesting to see whether both Juventus and Sandro go further down or manage to get back on track.

Our Rating - 84

Romelu Lukaku (Inter Milan) - 85

Inter Milan had a great run this year and the main man behind this revival is Romelu Lukaku. Both Lukaku and Inter Milan had below-par performances last season and the decision to come together to improve each other really paid off. With 34 goals and 6 assist in 51 games, Lukaku has been firing on all cylinders, as Inter finished 2nd with just one less point and also managed to make it to the Europa League finals. With more high recruits coming to the team, Inter can really challenge for the Scudetto next season but for now, Lukaku's contribution this season should be worth much more.

Our Rating - 88

Serge Gnarby (Bayern Munich) - 85

Serge Gnarby joins the list of players who EA have been literally ignored and overlooked and surprisingly he plays for Bayern. EA seems to be furious over the fact that the team who signed a deal with their rivals ended up with a treble. 23 goals and 14 assists in just 46 games, Gnarby has a long way to go and has already taken up Ribery's number 7 for Bayern and there is no reason he will not live up to Ribery's legacy. Clearly, EA has messed up his card, going from 90 Pace to 82 Pace this season even though he did not go on any sort of a vacation. Hopefully, there can be a winter upgrade.

Our Rating - 86

     Timo Werner (Chelsea) - 85

There are no words to describe how one player gets a downgrade after having way more goal involvements than games played. In 45 games, Werner had scored 34 goals and also racked up 13 assists taking his total tally to 47 goal involvements in 45 games. Werner got a 86 during last year's winter upgrade but went down to 85 this season. Werner has a big task in front of him this season and he must prove himself in the Premier League this season and hopefully, EA finally gets his rating right during the winter upgrade later on.

Our Rating - 87

Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) - 84

In just 14 games, Erling Haaland managed to get 16 goals and 6 assists for Salzburg and landed a moved to Dortmund in January and had an instant impact in the Bundesliga as well, scoring 13 goals and 3 assists in just 15 games. Haaland represented both his teams in the Champions League and scored 10 goals in just 8 games along with an assist as well. EA surprisingly did the right thing by not over upgrading him after just one season although there is no reason why he will not be getting a winter upgrade this season if he continues to do what he has managed to do this season.

Our Rating - 85

Those were all the players that EA gave wrong ratings for FIFA 21 and although there were ratings that were not so inaccurate, there were many players whose ratings EA managed to get completely wrong. Fans will be hoping that the game has managed to make a difference in its gameplay and features after going south many player rating, especially in the Career Mode where EA has promised that they have made massive changes this year but then again that's something they tell people every year.
