Serie A Matchday 3 - Review!
Marc:
This was a game largely dominated by Fiorentina but Sampdoria snuck away with the 3 points. Quagliarella scored a penalty just before half time. Vlahovic got the equaliser for Fiorentina in the 71st minute only to concede a late winner in the 85th minute by Verre with a smooth finish. A disappointing result in what could be Chiesa's last match in a Fiorentina jersey with a move to Juve impending.
Sassuolo vs Crotone
Marc:
Sassuolo strolled past Crotone in an easy win to make it 7 points in 3 games. Dominico Berardi scored the first before Nwankwo equalised with a penalty. Man on fire Caputo scored a brace and Locatelli added the icing on the cake with a fourth. Superb performance and a team to watch out for.
Udinese vs AS Roma
Marc:
Roma won a really close game with Pedro scoring his first goal for his new side. A closely fought game with Dzeko returning to the side. Kevin Lasagna had plenty of chances to score for Udinese but failed to convert. Udinese now sits at the bottom with 3 losses in 3 games and Roma have won 4 points in 3. Both sides have to step up.
Atalanta vs Cagliari
Marc:
Benevento pulled off an upset against Bologna who has been very disappointing so far this season. A Lapadula goal was the only highlight in a game which was dominated by Bologna for most parts but just didn't have the end product. Benevento is now at 6 points in 3 games whereas Bologna is at 3.
Lazio vs Inter Milan
Marc:
This was a topsy-turvy game ending all square at one apiece. Both sides saw red with Immobile and Sensi getting sent off. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring with a clever turn and sharp strike. Milinkovic-Savic scored the equalizer for Lazio with a clean strike. Lazio really has to step up as they're dropping out of title contention.
