Premier League Matchday 4 - Review!
Chelsea VS Crystal Palace
Aayush:
A poor first-half was made history by Chelsea after scoring 4 goals in the second one. Ben Chilwell scored on his premier league debut and provided an assist for Kurt Zouma, who headed the second goal. The third and fourth goals were scored by Jorginho as penalties due to fouls from Tyrick Mitchell and Mamadou Sakho.
Everton VS Brighton
Aayush:
Everton started much better than Brighton and soon took the lead when Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored once again to continue his streak by scoring a header. This was his ninth goal in six games, and has been scoring since 4 consecutive games for the first time in his career. But, Everton soon equalized at the end of the first half when Jordan Pickford lost the ball to Neal Mauapay. The half was just ending when Yerry Mina scored the second header of the game with James's free-kick. James also scored a goal with a great assist from Alex Iwobi. James scored another goal at the 70th minute from a long distance. Everton scored one late goal through Yves Bissouma, but it didn't matter because the Toffees won again!
Leeds United VS Manchester City
Aayush:
Manchester City dominated the first stages of the game; Kevin De Bruyne struck the post with a brilliant free-kick. Man City scored their first goal in the 17th minute. He cut inside after beating two defenders and scored a curled goal past Illan Meslier. However, Leeds almost equalized through Luke Ayling, who was stopped by Ederson. The Whites continued to push in the second half and equalized through club-record signing Rodrigo. Patrick Bamford and Raheem Sterling both missed big chances to win the game but, each team got a point in the end.
Newcastle United VS Burnley
Aayush:
Newcastle took the lead with a goal from returning Allan Saint-Maximin after he beat three defenders! But, the visitors equalized the score after Ashley Westwood's volley. In just 4 minutes, Newcastle retook the lead with a cross from Saint-Maximin past Ben Mee, and Callum Wilson did not miss it! Newcastle got the 3 points after Wilson scored a penalty after Ryan Fraser was brought down by Pope.
Leicester City VS West Ham
Aayush:
West Ham took the lead through Michail Antoni's header, who scored his second goal; Aaron Creswell got the assist with his cross to Antonio. Creswell got another assist with a goal scored by Pablo Fornals. Fornals got an assist as well; Jarrod Bowen scored the last goal, which was his third in two games!
Southampton VS West Brom
Aayush:
Moussa Djenepo scored the first goal after Southampton was initially struggling to play West Brom. He produced a lovely turn before lashing the ball into the goal from the edge of the box. Oriol Romeu secured the win after Stuart Armstrong pulled the ball back for Moussa,
Arsenal VS Sheffield United
Aayush:
In the first half, both the teams appealed a red card. We saw David Luiz unpunished, a debatable decision; Sander Berge saw yellow after doing a reckless tackle on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. When Nicola Pepe came in, he brought life to Arsenal, he was involved in the opener when Bukaya scored a goal with Hector Bellerin's assist, and Pepe himself scored the second goal!
Wolves VS Fulham
Aayush:
Fulham has continued their losing streak despite an acceptable performance from Alphonse Areola in goal. Areola impressively made a double save in the first half and denied Nelson Semedo his first goal. However, Areola could not do anything in the second half when Pedro Neto scored a beautiful goal; that was enough for Fulham despite a promising debut performance from Fulham substitute: Ademola Lookman.
Man Utd VS Spurs
Aayush:
Manchester United made history last night. They conceded 4 goals in the first-half at Old Trafford. Man United took the lead in the first two minutes of the game with the usual Bruno penalty, but that was the peak of their match. Ndombele and Son scored back-to-back goals. Kane scored the third goal in the thirtieth minute with a brilliant effort from the edge of the box. Sons' close-range goal was the last one in the first half. It only got worse for United as Aurier scored a goal followed by a penalty from Kane. Six in the game for Mourinho and 11 players for Solskajer to blame.
Aston Villa VS Liverpool
Aayush:
Liverpool took inspiration from Manchester United and did better than them in conceding goals. The usual Liverpool-goalkeeper blunder took place when Adrian gifted the ball to Watkins for the first goal. Mohamed Salah scored a goal to give hope to Liverpool, but John Mcginn took the 2 goal lead back in just 6 minutes. Watkins secure his hat-trick just before half-time, and Barkley scored on his debut at the 55th minute. Salah scored again but, it was too late. Jack Grealish scored the last two goals.
